This morning we had the privilege of having our two boys, Bradyn and Chayce, dedicated at church. It was a sweet moment for me on Mother’s Day—being there with my four children and being reminded that they truly are gifts from the Lord and they ultimately belong to Him! The verse we have chosen for our children is Zephaniah 3:17,
“The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."
I am so thankful that our God is mighty to save us—and we pray that He will one day bring our boys (and all of our children) to a saving faith in Jesus.
We do take great delight in our children (most of the time!!!). But today I was reminded that God always delights in His children! And He quiets us with His love, and He rejoices over us!! Wow! I pray that I will rest in these promises, and that as my children grow up, they will know their Heavenly Father in these ways—a mighty Savior who is forever delighting in, quieting with His love, and rejoicing over.
