El Campamento

DSC_0141 December 27-30 we went with about 70 high school and college age kids to the beach.  The camp that Tim and his church have started there is really neat.  The week was full of beach activities, competitive games, Praise and Worship, Bible study and small groups.

Everyone sleeps in tents right on the beach!  It was a sandy experience, to say the least!  But it was really neat sleeping to the sound of the crashing waves at night.  It actually cooled off really nice in the evenings, and was very pleasant!  The kids played hard during the day and crashed hard and early at night!

Below is Rubi and her two boys, Andy and Kaled.  They were there helping out as well and were sweet playmates for our kids.

The kids had a blast seeing many of their friends from the Huerto and playing on the beach for three days.  Ben and I enjoyed seeing how the camp works and what is going on there—although we would have loved to be more involved.  Chasing four kids made that a bit difficult.  We were all exhausted by the end and ready for our own beds!
