Grandpa and Grandma Visit!

My parents came for 10 days to visit us!  We had such a great time with them.  It really was a special treat to be able to show them our life here in Ometepec.  They arrived November 18th,  just in time to join us for a grand fiesta to celebrate Lydia's and Brady's birthdays.  Some of the highlights were:

THANKSGIVING DINNER with four families we have gotten to know.  We cooked up a turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots and some pumpkin dessert.  It was fun for my parents to meet some of our friends and for us to introduce the people here to our Thanksgiving holiday!

DESFILE:  November 20th is a big holiday here in Mexico.  They celebrate the beginning of their Revolution.  So, we took Grandpa and Grandma to the parade, or desfile.

We spent a lot of time walking around Ometepec, showing them various places where we spend time, like...

HAILEY'S SCHOOL...
THE CROSS (from where you can see an incredible view of the city)...

THE DEORTIVO...

At the end of our week, we had the privilege of spending a couple of days in Acapulco together.  This was a great time of just being together, playing in the pools and on the beach, and resting.

THANKS, GRANDPA AND GRANDMA FOR COMIGN TO VISIT!  WE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME WITH YOU!  WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND MISS YOU LOTS!
